PUPPIES
Puppies need to be slowly introduced to the grooming process.  The
general rule of thumb to begin grooming a puppy is after they have
received their first series of vaccinations.

First time groom for a puppy should consist of brushing out the coat,
trimming the nails and cleaning the ears.  Then the bath and hand drying on
the lowest power setting.

The next groom can then consist of introducing the clippers and the
scissors.

All puppy owners should take the time to massage the pads and toes of
their puppies regularly to get the dog used to his feet being touched, this
will make  nail clipping an easier process and stress free for the dog as
they get older.

Also, for those white faced puppies, owners should regularly use a damp
cotton ball (with water) to keep the hair around the eyes clean.

Patience and consistency is the key for puppy owners as puppies are
squirmy and way to busy to be bothered with these two grooming
processes!
